“On November 16, 2017, in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Texas, Jose Jesus Campos-Flores (‘Campos-Flores’) was convicted of violating Section 38 of the Arms Export Control Act (22 U.S.C. 2778 (2012)) (‘AECA’). Campos-Flores was convicted of violating Section 38 of the AECA by knowingly exporting and attempting to export from the United States to Mexico firearms designated as defense articles on the United States Munitions List, without the required U.S. Department of State licenses. Campos-Flores was sentenced to 36 months in prison, three years of supervised release, and an assessment of $100.”
