“On January 27, 2020, in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Washington, Hany Veletanlic (‘Veletanlic’) was convicted of violating Section 38 of the Arms Export Control Act (22 U.S.C 2778) (‘AECA’). Specifically, Veletanlic was convicted of willfully exporting from the U.S. to Sweden defense articles designated on the United States Munitions List, namely a Glock lower 23 receiver, without having obtained from the United States Department of State, a license or written approval for the export of the defense article. As a result of his conviction, the Court sentenced Veletanlic to 85 months of confinement, three years of supervised release and a $400 assessment.”
