“Effective Tuesday, October 13, 2015, Mr. Brian Nilsson will become Deputy Assistant Secretary (DAS) of State for Defense Trade Controls at the U.S. Department of State in the Bureau of Political-Military Affairs, Directorate of Defense Trade Controls. Mr. Nilsson has served for the past seven years on the White House National Security Council as the Director of Nonproliferation and Export Controls, chairing the White House Export Control Reform Task Force. Mr. Anthony Dearth, who has been serving as the Acting DAS for the past three and half months, will return to his duties as Director of the Office of Defense Trade Controls Licensing.”
