What is Visual Compliance for Microsoft Dynamics 365?

What is Visual Compliance for Microsoft Dynamics 365?

Visual Compliance for Microsoft Dynamics 365 automatically checks to see if anyone you're doing business with—including contacts, leads, accounts, vendors, suppliers and visitors to your premises—appears on a government "watch list" of individuals, businesses or countries that face restrictions on doing business with them.

What does Visual Compliance for Microsoft Dynamics 365 do?

Visual Compliance for Microsoft Dynamics 365 checks for individuals and companies that are found on U.S. and international government watch lists for financial, technological, and security transactions; as well as countries facing sanctions or under embargo. Our global sanctions screening tool helps protect you from conducting business with these entities by alerting you to their presence on government watch lists.

Why do I need to worry about this?

Most countries have a set of laws that place limits on who you can legally do business with. Making sure that you are not doing business with anyone on these government watch lists helps protect you and your company from significant fines, loss of export privileges and even criminal charges.

Has anyone been found guilty of violating trade regulations?

A number of high-profile companies have been fined for violating export regulations, knowingly or unknowingly. A brief summary of a few recent cases can be found here.

How do I use Visual Compliance for Microsoft Dynamics 365?

How do I know if an account is okay to do business with?

When you enter a new customer or vendor into Microsoft Dynamics 365, or edit one that already exists, you will see their restricted party and sanction screening status ("RPS Status") and whether they've been flagged as a potential match against a government watch list. Whether or not a match has been found by Visual Compliance will be indicated in the RPS Status field. The stage at which you conduct the search in your workflow is flexible and customizable, depending on your needs.

How am I alerted about a match?

In the event of a match, Visual Compliance for Microsoft Dynamics 365 will automatically send an email alert to whoever you have nominated to receive restricted party screening results.

What does an email alert contain?

An email alert includes the information that resulted in a match against government watch lists, which lists, and the reason these persons, companies or countries appear on a list. This information can be used to help determine whether or not the potential match is your Account, Contact, or Lead.

How does Visual Compliance for Microsoft Dynamics 365 work?

How does it work? Where does it fit into my workflow?

Whenever a new contact, lead, account, vendor, or supplier, etc., is created, or an existing record is modified, it is automatically checked by Visual Compliance for Microsoft Dynamics 365 by taking the name and address information you've entered and scanning for matches against government watch lists. Your information is then updated with the result. You don't have to make any adjustments to your existing processes or workflow.

How do I get started with Visual Compliance for Microsoft Dynamics 365?
